Mama-Telecom is responsible for the processing of personal data through this website. This statement covers the website. If you use our services, the processing that comes with them is set out in the agreement we have with you.

What we process

Contact form. Your company name, name, email address, telephone number and your message, so that we can reply. The submission is not stored on the website: it reaches us as an email.

Registering for an event. Your first and last name, company name, email address and telephone number, so that we can process your registration and keep you informed about the event. These details also reach us as an email only.

Account and orders. If you create an account in the web shop or place an order, we process your name, email address, billing and delivery address, your order and, if you provide them, your company name and telephone number. Your password is stored in encrypted form only.

Chat. See "Chat" below.

Technical log files. For every visit, the web server records the IP address, the time and the page requested, among other things. This is needed for security and troubleshooting. These files are deleted automatically after thirty days.

Visitor statistics. How many people visit the website and which pages are read most. How that works is described under "Cookies and statistics".

Chat

In the bottom right corner there is a button that lets you start a chat with one of our staff. The chat window is supplied by an external provider, which processes the conversations on our behalf. As long as you do not click the button, nothing is retrieved from that provider and no data is sent to it.

If you do click the button, your browser loads the chat window from the provider. The provider then sees your IP address and the page you are on. The window stores a session identifier and your messages in your browser, so that the conversation is not lost when you move to another page. To prevent misuse, the window may load an automated-traffic check from another party. Whatever you type in the chat, and the name and contact details you provide, are used only to answer your question.

The chat provider is established in the United States and processes the data there, or in other places where it or its sub-processors run systems. That transfer outside the European Union is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. The provider keeps data for as long as is necessary for this purpose and states no fixed period itself. If you would like a conversation deleted, let us know.

Videos

One of the pages contains a video from an external video platform. It is only loaded once you click play; until then no data is sent to the platform. If you do click, your browser retrieves the video from that platform and your IP address is passed on. The player is set up so that the platform does not track your viewing behaviour.

Helpdesk

For support we refer you to our support portal. It runs with an external service provider, in data centres within the European Union, and sits outside this website. Whatever you enter there is used to handle your request.

What for, and who we share it with

We use your data only to answer your question or registration, to handle orders, and to keep the website working properly and securely. We do not use it for advertising. We do not sell it and do not share it with others, unless the law obliges us to.

The website runs on servers within the European Union. Email sent from the website is delivered by an email service provider that is likewise established within the European Union and acts solely on our instructions. Apart from that, only the chat provider (after your click) and the video platform receive data, as described above. We will name our processors on request.

Legal bases (article 6(1) GDPR):

  • account and orders: performance of the agreement with you (b), and our statutory retention obligation for the accounts (c);
  • questions, chat, registrations, log files and statistics: our legitimate interest in being reachable and having a properly working, secure website (f).

Cookies and statistics

This website places no cookies for advertising or for tracking visitors across other websites. All you see is a short notice. If you dismiss it, the website remembers that with one small file on your device, so the notice does not return on every visit. It contains nothing that can be traced back to you.

If you use the shopping basket or log in, the website places the cookies needed for that: to remember what is in your basket and that you are logged in. They expire at the end of your visit or when you log out. If you open the chat, your browser stores what is described under "Chat".

We do measure how many people visit the website and which pages are read most. We do that with statistics software on our own server within the European Union. The data stays there and we share it with no one. Specifically:

  • nothing is placed on or read from your device;
  • your IP address is made unrecognisable before it is stored;
  • we do first derive a rough location from your IP address (country, region and town), using a database on our own server; no data is sent to another party for this;
  • we also record which pages you viewed, for how long, which website or search engine you arrived from, and what kind of device, browser and screen size you use;
  • we do not follow you across other websites and do not build a profile of you;
  • if "Do Not Track" is switched on in your browser, we do not measure your visit;
  • we delete the individual visit data after 180 days; after that we keep totals only.

Retention periods

  • Messages through the contact form and registrations: for as long as the contact or the event requires, then deleted.
  • Chat conversations: with the provider, for as long as is necessary for the purpose (see "Chat"); on request we have them deleted.
  • Accounts: until you close the account or ask us to delete it.
  • Orders and invoices: seven years, because of the statutory retention obligation for accounts.
  • Technical log files: thirty days.
  • Individual visit data from the statistics: 180 days.

Security

The website is reachable over an encrypted connection only. Only staff who need the data for their work can access it.

Your rights

You have the right to see your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to receive it in a common file format, and to have the processing restricted. You can also object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Email info@mama-telecom.nl for this. We reply within a month. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

If anything changes in the way this website handles data, we will update this statement. This version is dated 20 September 2026.
